The christening of your new baby was perfect. Uncle George manned the camera and caught the baby’s face just as the water splashed over her. The baby was good as gold. Auntie Carmen and her church friends outdid themselves on the flower arrangements, table settings, and home-made finger sandwiches. And cousin Bertie’s secret recipe lemon cake was delicious as always. So many friends and family went out of their way to make the ceremony and the party just right. And, of course, they all brought gifts for the sweet little guest of honor.
And now you need to thank them all, from the minister to Auntie Carmen’s friend who washed the dishes. That means christening thank you cards. So what will it be? Sifting through every design on the shelf in the card store? Clicking on template after template on the Internet? Asking your nephew, Joey, the computer graphics whiz, to do it for you -and then owing him a thank you card?
Wait. What about the picture Uncle George took? The baby looks adorable. If you could put that picture on the cover of the card with the baby’s name and the words “Thank you,” half of the work would be done already. All you’d have to do is print them. Maybe you could even print envelopes with a little cross on the back… well, for that you might need a little help from Joey. But at least your thank you cards will be just like the christening – perfect.
